Doc > Intimidated When
my younger sister wanted to make the leap from internet pokwe to live
poker, in a casino, I figured that she would feel right at home. Jill
has been playing hold'em for about 9 months online, but her ventures into
a casino were limited to a few pulls on a slot machine. When she expressed
interest in accompanying me to a casino, I figured that she would easily
adapt to brick-and-mortar poker. I didn't even realize she was unsure
of herself until we sat down at a Hold'em table, and she said, "What
do I do now?" |

Harshaw, dad, will continue to be the primary “poker prof”
for most of the beginning poker classes. He has years of experience at
the green felt, the largest library of poker books I’ve seen and

Course Description: This poker lesson is designed
for the people that have little or no successful experience at casino
poker. It is introductory and gives the student and overall view of the
game of poker. It will not make a winning player out of you but it will
help the poker beginner understand that there is a correct way to play
poker and give them the poker tools to understand a more advanced discussion
of poker. The lesson does concentrate on Hold'em but does briefly address
Omaha and 7 Stud.

Made Me Do It One
of the things he made me do, before he allowed me, (Yeah, right. He thought
I was virgin when I graduated High School too.) to play poker online was
to read several poker books. For this page I’ve put together and
made comments on each of the poker books I have finished. I’ve only
finished about half the list. So I’ll list the books I haven’t
finished yet and add comments as I finish each poker book.
